January 1, 2010. 12:00:01 AM:  The start of a year full of events i never expected.

I remember the first seconds of this year like it just happened moments ago.  I was standing by the bar in my kitchen with my friends Brett Grant and Katie Neal, my girlfriend at the time, Lauren Walker and my little brother, Baylor,  watching my parents and my aunt and uncle drink sparkling juice, or something of that sort.  The five of us raced up stairs with pots and pans.  I played the song, We Are Your Friends, as loud as possible through the surround sound and speakers on the back porch while Baylor and Brett smashed the pans together until one of them smashed their finger.  I can imagine that probably hurt pretty bad considering how cold it was that night, but regardless, it was really, pretty funny.  The year was off to a great start.

I have been gone for five days at camp with my youth group.  On the last night we do a prayer walk where you go out and pray with a few of the leaders.  While I was waiting for the last leader I was laying out under the stars.  I sat up and looked at this huge tree in front of me.  As soon as I saw the try I felt God telling me that this tree was like the body of Christ.  There were so many branches spread out over this really big area and I’m sure thousands of leaves, connected through hundreds of branches, reaching in all different directions.   Weather you believe in Christ or not, we are all a part of each others lives. We are all connected, living and breathing together.  Also no matter what, if you follow it all back to the source, any branch or twig you pick will lead you right back to the same spot; the tree trunk.  That trunk is like God, which we are all a part of and God can be found in some way in every person on this earth.  

Just after that one star shined through one spot on the tree. Only one.   God told me that star was me.  That I was not just one of the billions of his children, but that I was special.  That he really cared about me, that he really loved me.  I stood up to look at that star which seemed so bright, only to see and remember how many stars are actually out there.  Then I realized God was not just saying he loved and cared for me and thought I was special.  God was showing me, how he loves every single one of us.   That we are all a bright shining star.  In God’s eyes we are all special.  We are all God’s children and we are all over by him more than we can even start to imagine, and nothing we can even think to do will ever change that.

God loves everyone I will ever know. Yes. Even those ones who i don’t like, the ones who hurt me and the ones who are different from me.  None of us are ever alone.

As you may know I am fascinated by dreams.  Although they are so abstract and mysterious they really are very much like real life.  Just think about a few things.   You never remember the starting of a dream; true but do you remember your birth or your very early years of life?  Unless you write them down as soon as you wake up, you hardly ever remember a whole dream. You might think you remember most of real life but do you even remember what you ate for dinner two nights ago?  I thought about all the things i DO remember and as much as i may think that is i start to consider how much i have forgotten and it amazes me.  

When you are dreaming, its not a dream.  You don’t second guess it’s reality.  It doesn’t seem stupid that 2012 is actually happening and you could be safe downtown but instead you are cleaning up your house.  You just don’t realize how stupid it all is compared to real life.  However the minute you find out it’s not real, it ends.  Example: I have had dreams where I can bend, (like bending the elements from The Last Airbender) however the second I notice i can do that, I try to bend on my own, I can’t do it anymore and i slowly start to wake up.  Why is that?  Why is it that when we realize we could do WHATEVER we want, we are kicked out of our dreams? 

Well that ended up just being a bunch of random thoughts but whatever. I haven’t posted anything but my videos on here at all in June so I thought i needed to! Also it’s really late/early so i should probably try to get dreaming very soon anyway haha. Good Night!

“All guys are JERKS!” “All boys are the same” “girls are so stupid” “gurls R all BITCHES” “Why are all girls sluts now a days?” “guys are liars liars liars” “boys cant go 10 seconds without thinking about sex”  

This is all stuff recently I have been hearing and seeing mostly on Facebook and Myspace but also in the real world.  I have to say this is something that really makes me mad. Yeah, there are guys who lie, cheat and seam to only care about sex. And Yes, there girls who are exactly the same way. However guys saying   they are better than women, that they are only good for “making sandwiches” or say they are all lying sluts is just stupid.  Just the same way, girls saying all guys are jerks, cheaters and sex addicts is stupid. I’m not only saying this because i don’t like being labeled as a JERK, just like every other guy, a liar and only caring about sex. It makes me just as mad when people say girls are stupid, BITCHES and sluts.

 Now i have had a couple bad breakups, and i have been lied to, cheated on and used.  Granted, I don’t have a very good image of those girls anymore, but not every girl in the world would do that.  I’m not going to say all girls are cheaters just because one of them cheated on me. I won’t say they are all users or liars either.  The same thing goes for girls who have had a bad experience with a guy. We all know it’s not true.

If we really though all guys/girls were like that, would we really keep trying to find someone who will treat us right?  No. We wouldn’t.  Face it. We are all human. We all make mistakes and we all get hurt.  It is not a matter of guys or girls. 

Now for you people who will make your Facebook status “guys are all jerks” or “girls are all bitches”  think about that next time you get into a relationship. You’re probably going to say “oh this one is different.”  You’ll admit to your self that you know not all guys are cheaters and not all girls are liars. I’m just asking you to remember that next time you put up a status you don’t really believe. All it does is make the opposite sex mad and make the same sex “like” your stupid status.
